Understanding demo analytics
Every Democap share link reports who watched, how long, and where they dropped off. Here's what each metric means and how to turn watch data into pipeline signal.

Sending a demo and hearing nothing back is the worst part of async selling. Democap closes the loop: every share link records how it was watched, so "did they even open it?" stops being a mystery.
What gets tracked
For each share link, Democap reports:
- Views and visitors — how many times the demo was opened, and by how many distinct viewers.
- Watch time — how long each viewer actually watched, not just that they clicked.
- Completion — how far into the demo each view got.
- Drop-off (heatmap) — which parts of the demo were watched, rewatched, or skipped, aggregated across views.
- Recent viewers — the latest sessions, so you can see activity as it happens.
Viewers don't log in or enter an email to watch — links are private and unguessable, and viewing is anonymous. When you send each lead their own personalized clone, the link itself tells you who the viewer is: activity on Northwind's link is Northwind.
Reading the signals
High completion, multiple views. Your best signal. Someone who watched 90% of a demo — twice — is evaluating seriously. This is the moment to offer a call, while the demo is fresh.
Opened, dropped early. The link worked; the first minute didn't. Check the heatmap: if most viewers drop at the same spot, the demo has a slow stretch — tighten it in the editor (speed up that section, cut it, or move the strongest moment earlier). If just this lead dropped, they may not be the right persona for this walkthrough.
Never opened. The problem is upstream of the demo — the message, subject line, or timing. Resend with a different angle before writing the lead off.
Rewatched sections. Segments viewers scrub back to are the parts they care about (or the parts that confused them). Either way, that's what to lead with on the follow-up call.
Because it's Democap, you can act on it
With a video, learning that everyone drops off at minute two means re-recording. In Democap, the recording is editable after the fact — trim the slow part, add a zoom punch-in where attention fades, change the on-screen data — and every link keeps working. Your demo gets measurably better week over week without ever being re-recorded.
Where to find it
Open Analytics in your workspace for the cross-demo view, or open any recording's share page to see stats for that specific link. Since each lead's clone has its own link, the per-lead story is always one click away.
